Singorama is an information product consisting of two step-by-step lesson books with supporting audio files, and several software programs, designed to teach you how to sing to a near professional level. It caters for all levels of singer, from beginner to advanced.
Singorama was created by Emily Mander. Emily was born into a family of singers, and began singing at the young age of three. She is now a professional singer, who was frustrated at the lack of singing courses available to the average person, so she made one herself. It certainly seems she has the credentials to make a product like this.
The problem with many “learn to sing” books and courses is they only cover basic warm up techniques, or make you a better singer within the range you already have. They may even teach you to sing a few songs, too. But they rarely show you how to improve as a singer, and tackle harder challenges such as increasing your range, and how to sing with other people.
This is where I think Singorama really shrines. The supporting audio files contain many exercises, harmony tracks, and songs, which allow you to sing a long and record your voice using the supplied recording software. This means you can teach yourself how to sing in harmony with others – a crucial skill for the aspiring singer.
